Remove mounting bracket from
mounting cone. Leave the screws in the bracket that match up with the open hole on
each side of mounting cone.
Attach mounting bracket to
junction box or directly to ceiling using screws taped to mounting bracket.
Lead wires through center hole.
Remove the four (4) screws
holding the mounting cone to top of fan. Remove cone
from top of fan.
Put down rod through mount cone
(pivot ball end of rod remains in cone).
Attach extra wires (included with
fan) to wires coming out of receptacle. Crimp butt connector to secure wires.
Feed wires from receptacle
through bottom of down rod and out through the pivot ball end.
Remove pin and clip from
receptacle.
Slip down rod into receptacle,
and align holes of rod with hole in receptacle.
Re-insert pin through
receptacle/down rod assembly and attach clip.
.Tighten screw on side of
receptacle.
Rub the motor shaft with soap or light oil. It will
allow the hub to slide on easier.
. Align the hub with the motor
shaft. Be sure the flat side of
the motor
shaft matches up with flat side of the hole. Press hub on to shaft until
3/8" (1 cm) of the motor shaft protrudes from the hub. Tighten set
screw.
- . Push retaining clip onto motor shaft unit until it is firmly against the
hub.
- . Push retaining knob onto motor shaft until it is firmly against hub.
- . Lift completed motor and hub assembly to mounting bracket on ceiling, and slip
one hole on side of mounting cone over hook on bracket.
. With motor and hub assembly
hanging from hook, connect fan wires to the
house wires using the two (2) wire nuts
included with fan. Red wire is
positive +; Black
wire is negative -.
. After wires are connected,
remove fan from hook, and slip mounting cone over mounting bracket. Align the open
holes of cone with the two screws, and rotate until cone will stay in place. Then
replace the other two screws in cone and tighten all four screws firmly.
.Turn on power, check that fan
is working, turn power off.
. Assemble blade arm and fan
blades using the 15 screws and washers that are attached to the blade arms.
. Once the blades and and arms
are assembled, attach the assemblies to the hub using the bag of 10 screws found in the
hub. The inside hole pattern on the hub is for four (4) blades. The outside
hole pattern is for five (5) blades.
